Q: Where does your training take place?

A: Our programs take place on-site at your organization. Seminars and coaching are generally scheduled in a conference or training room.


Q: How many people can participate in a course?

A: To ensure that each participant receive individual attention, we recommend keeping most seminars to six to eight people.


Q: How is training priced?

A: We speak to you about your needs and give you a training recommendation. We include the cost for training, materials, and assessments if needed.


Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Karen O’Neal founded Language by Design in 1997 and we have been providing communication training since then.


Q: Where do you provide services?

A: We are based in the south bay in the San Francisco bay area. Most of our clients are located in Silicon Valley and the bay area. We are available for travel domestically and internationally.


Q: Do you offer English language training and coaching?

A: Yes. We are specialists in teaching English as a second language and provide English instruction at all levels and in all language areas.


Q: Do you work with native English speakers?

A: Yes. We work with both native and non-native English speakers, and often mixed groups. Our programs are designed to address the linguistic and cultural backgrounds of our participants.


Q: Who are the instructors?

A: Karen O’Neal is founder and chief trainer. She works with qualified, talented associates who are hand picked to best meet the client’s needs.


Q: Do you offer executive coaching?

A: Yes. Many of the individuals we have coached are highly accomplished executives who are motivated to take their skills to the next level.


Q: How long are your programs?

A: Programs vary in length based on needs, objectives, and participant background. One format that works well for many of our training and coaching clients is meeting once a week for several weeks. One- and two-day programs are also available.
